Listed Buildings
Listed Buildings in Great Ouseburn and Branton Green
A listed building or structure, is listed on the statutory list maintained by Historic England. It may not be demolished, extended, or altered without special permission from the local planning authority, which typically consults the relevant central government agency, particularly for significant alterations to the more notable listed buildings. A national amenity society, such as the Georgian Society must also be notified of any work to a listed building which involves any element of demolition.
Although most sites appearing on the lists are buildings, other structures such as bridges and monuments can also be listed.
